How To Pick
Park and Check-in
While we don’t require any sort of reservation, we ask that you stop by the farm stand before you pick for the in-person breakdown of the best spots to pick, locations of specific varieties, and other useful tips.
We have waters, buckets, shade, and a place to put your keys so they don’t get lost in the field.

Choose a Bucket
We have a variety of buckets on-site to choose from ranging from children’s size to 2-gallons. We have both Rope Buckets and Handle buckets – view the Bucket Guide for more information.
You can bring your own bucket to use as well, we just ask you have it weighed by us before you pick to save time at check-out.

Find the Good Picking
During check in we will direct you to the areas that are ripe and ready to be picked. Throughout the day we also walk the perimeter and ask returning pickers where they’ve had the best luck. We mark those spots on the map below to use as a reference.

Fill Your Bucket
You can fill the bucket up as much or as little as your heart desires, however – For Power Pickers we do provide a 10 percent discount if you pick more than 10 pounds of berries!
Good ripe berries will be entirely deep blue, with little to no red. The deeper the blue the sweeter the berry. Berries that are white or green are not ripe and should be left on the branch to ripen further.

Weigh Your Berries
After you’ve filled your bucket, it’s time to weigh your berries! Before you get in line, please make sure you have your wallet ready to go.
We weigh the berries in cardboard flats, but you may also bring your own containers. If your container is already weighed, we’ll weigh the berries as they are.

Check-out
After they’re weighed up all that’s left is to pay and be on your way! Pay with cash, card, check or even apple pay then take those berries home and share them with your loved ones (or save them all for you – your choice!)

Farm Rules
- If you hear the BELL ring, return to the front. It means there is LIGHTNING and it’s dangerous in the field.
- Please no animals in the picking area except service animals.
- Please keep track of your children.
- Please no littering, there are trashcans on site.
- It is okay to taste the berries. It is not ok to fill up while picking. If you can’t help yourself, we understand – they are really good berries. To atone, we provide a guilt donation box where your contribution will be given to a charity.
- and lastly, have fun!
Tips for Picking
It is a good idea to come prepared. Bring a hat, some knee pads, and a water bottle to make sure you get the most of your time in the field. If you forget water we sell bottled water at the sales stand. A stool or folding chair is also a great option. Berries are also found on the low, undersides of the bushes so there can be bending and kneeling involved.

Dress for the weather! We are open rain or shine and as long as there is no lightning in the sky, we will be open! it’s recommended you check the weather before picking. we have a link to a forecast right on the front page for those who want to know conditions before coming out.
Pick each bush as thoroughly as possible. Moving around too much can actually take longer and be more strenuous than focusing on one bush at a time. While many berries are visible from the top of the bush, make sure you check under the branches, and deep in the bush as that is where some of the best and sweetest berries reside. Children have a major advantage when it comes to reaching the harder to access stuff. And make sure to avoid leaves and stems! It’s easier to pick cleanly than sort out a mess later.
